A monoprint is a one-off print. Unlike other forms of printmaking, the image is unique and unrepeated. The image is not made directly on the paper (like a drawing or painting); rather it is made on some kind of matrix and printed onto paper. To make this image, I cut chair shapes out of a stiff paper. I then printed the paper repeatedly with different rainbow colour rolls, adding and removing chair stencils as well as scraps of paper.
