As an artist, I’m most often drawn to the shapes of things: form and line, rather than colour and light. It helps explain why I love houses so much: they are all about shape. Even in a small town like Antigonish, which has a clearly dominant architectural style, I’m delighted by the infinite variety that emerges in the shapes of our houses, and the personalities those shapes suggest.
