I spent two years living in this yellow house when I was a student at COGS (the Centre of Geographic Sciences) in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. The second winter was a record-breaking one for snowfall, maybe you remember it. Paths were more like tunnels than paths, and windows let in very little light. Our door opened up onto a driveway, so to clear our little step, every shovelful of snow had to be carried around to the back of the house. Months later, we found a glass that someone had left in this snowbank during the party we’d had on the eve of the big storm.
